World Book Day

Last week, children working in school and at home celebrated World Book Day in lots of different ways.
Either in the classroom or on a Teams meeting, the children shared their favourite book with their classmates. They talked about why they liked the book so much and encouraged others to read it too.  The children also designed boxes and potatoes to show scenes or characters from their favourite books.
Edith, in year 1, said, "My favourite book is Oscar the Hungry Unicorn because I enjoy looking at the pictures in the story and it has a happy ending at the end.” Riley, in year 4, said, "My favourite books are the Horrid Henry books. He is a mischievous character and plays tricks all the time!”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
