This term, the children in Year 6 have been learning about the different types of land use patterns in their geography lessons.
The children have used maps to find out more about recreational, industrial, agricultural, commercial and residential land patterns. They have also looked at Google Earth to research the land patterns of a city and used resources to help them remember its different parts.
After one of the lessons, Lucas said, “I have enjoyed when we do our geography lessons in the hall as we have been able to act out what we have been learning. This helps us to remember more things. We have actions to help us remember what nucleated, linear and dispersed means.”
Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
