Terrific Scientific

Recently, the children in Year 4 have been conducting an investigating in science to look at the effect of different liquids on our teeth.
The children looked at the changes to an egg when it was left in cola, orange juice and water for a week.  Their observations helped them to give advice to younger children on how to look after our teeth.  The class also now know the names of different teeth and their functions.
After the lesson, Ethan said, “The different levels of sugar in the drink affected the eggs. The egg in cola cracked.  The egg left in orange juice went slimy and puffy and some of the shell came off!”  Lily added, “The egg in water stayed the same because there’s no sugar, fat or calories in water.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
