This half-term, the children in Years 3 and 4 had the opportunity to learn new drama skills in an after-school club led by a specialist teacher from a local theatre company.
The children created elaborate stories in a group and as individuals. They explored themes including physicality, character and improvisation before adding their own ideas in order to improve the final performance.
After one of the sessions, Jaxson said, “I have enjoyed coming up with a story about one of the special objects that we could choose from. I imagined a cup belonged to King Arthur.” Tia-Jae added, “It was hard to combine the group’s ideas in a short amount of time!”
Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
Year 1: Blake Davis
Year 2: Harris Wilson
