This year, our children celebrated World Book Day by reading "Grandad’s Secret Giant’’ and they took part in lots of different activities about the story.
Some children acted out how the giant helped the people in the town.  Others thought about how the giant should have been treated differently and not judged by how he looked.  They even wrote letters of apology as if they were the boy writing to the giant.
Lucy said, "I enjoyed painting the giant's patchwork dungarees. We created patterns by pressing on hard with crayons and washed over this with paint.”  Elaina-Mai added, "I liked it when Kye was pretending to be the kind giant because he pulled Lenny and Isabelle out of the ocean to safety.”

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
