Alien Invasion

Last Monday, the children in our Lower Foundation Stage had a huge surprise when an alien landed in their reading corner.
As the children were listening to a story, flashing lights magically appeared. Not long after, Q Pootle 5 had successfully landed! Q Pootle 5 had never seen a reading book before so he wanted the children to help him read as many books as possible before he travelled back home in his spaceship.
The children taught the alien how to hold a book correctly, turn pages one at a time and use the illustrations for clues. After, Cayden said, “I had to teach him the letter sounds because he didn't know any.” Poppy added, “I wish the alien could come to my house to see all my books.” independently.

Congratulations to the following children for winning an achievement award at Tuesday’s assembly.
